Let it snow!

Home sweet home
(does this make you homesick, April?)

They started playing in the snow bright and early. It was coming down fast and it was so pretty. The snow continued to fall throughout Saturday morning and we had lots of fun with family, friends, and neighbors.  Love it!

Kristen and Maren spend nearly every weekend together. They are great buddies.

Kicking snow on the neighbor kid
(I'm pretty sure he was asking for it)

  This snow packed perfectly.

It was snowy, but not too cold- perfect weather for playing. Even so, I told Annalisa that this snow angel was probably not a good idea.

Grant's Farm last summer

Lately I've been missing Tyler and April and their kids. I got pretty used to having them around. They are so much fun and St. Louis isn't as exciting without them. The kids miss their buddies/cousins. Louisa has probably already forgotten her Aunt Tassa. Maybe I'm feeling this more because of these holidays when it seems like the Farmers should be here and not Japan. Sigh.

They are having a great time in Okinawa and I am glad for that.
And we do like their house...

I found some pictures from last summer before the Farmers flew off to Japan and I thought they might enjoy seeing them.

Man, that kid is cute!

Twirling in the midst of the crowds

Now that there is snow on the ground and every day is freezing cold, all this summer stuff seems so long ago.

Miss you guys!

April, please tell Lincoln that Alec loved getting his letters. What a fun surprise! He is so sweet. How I would love to give him a big hug! I need to get Alec to sit down and write him back. Things have been crazy! Preschool is a busy thing, isn't it?

BTW, did you hear Landon is moving? :( They are getting their own house a few blocks away on Ries Bend- not walk-able for the kids. His grandmother came over today to tell me and give me a hug and say thank you. She seemed so sad that Landon would not be a part of our family anymore. She says that he has learned a lot from being around our families. I feel sad about this. Alec and Trevor will miss their constant companion. We will still see him sometimes though, I am sure. But now play dates will have to be scheduled.
