A week at the Barneys

Breakfast in bed for the 14-year-old
Not sure why this was in our room...

The family gathered for Adam's celebration before the sun came up. Seminary sure makes these early morning breakfasts a bit too early for my liking. Annalisa actually woke up for this one. She's been sleeping through the last few birthdays.

Adam always wants cheesecake for this birthday, which is a major disappointment for Trevor who does not eat cheesecake.
Adam also took a cheesecake to his scout activity on his birthday.

He is growing up so nicely. He conducted the last Court of Honor (he's the patrol leader) and did a good job. He is also growing taller and is now taller than Maren. She is not thrilled about this development, especially when he calls her "little sister."

Eating mud cups

She likes it, especially the worm.

Annalisa watched them with interest, but was not about to eat "dirt."

Maren's flowers from the Parkway 2nd Young Women leaders
So pretty!! I really enjoyed these on my table.

Fun with a box
The box was also popular at preschool.

Anna had a tail that she was proud of.

Alec made a paper audience to help him practice his presentation about Benjamin Franklin.
They are saying "hurray" and "bravo" and "Yippy!"
He did do a nice job on his presentation and got a wonderful note from the teacher about it.

Working on Maren's quilt during the last Snow Day
We are now up to 10 snow days.

Very colorful, isn't it?
Unfortunately it is too small and we need to get more fabric and keep working on it.
She wants it to fit a full-sized bed and right now it only covers a twin.

Alec's 2nd Grade Musical - "The Box"
It was adorable. He was adorable! I loved it!

They sang cute little songs about the adventures of imagination you can have with a box.

He was a pirate, but the eye patch broke two minutes before the show.
He was one of the few kids that had a line to say. He nailed it. I think he enjoyed it too!
After this show, I found myself wondering if perhaps I do have a little performer in the family.
I hope...

After the show, Geoff took Alec out for a slushy at QT.

Maren's off to a band competition today.
Good luck, Maren!
