Read, Right, and Run

The Read, Right, and Run Race was today. Throughout the school year our kids (along with 5,000 other St. Louis kids) have been checking off 26 books, 26 good deeds, and 26 miles. It is such a wonderful program. Today was the final event, the 1.2 mile race, the mile that completes the marathon. We had a perfect day for it! I wasn't fully appreciating that fact until I found out that last year it was rained out, and the year before it was very soggy. These four had a great time running it together. They are such good buddies.

The Green Pines runners met every Friday before school for their mile runs.

And they're off!

We cheered them on as they rounded the corner for the finish line.

The best part, the medals!

Good job guys!

Anna and Bug

Easter Anna

Beautiful girl, beautiful day

Thinking about how cute she is.

Oh yes, very cute.

Bug lands in hair.

Anna does not notice.

Anna and bug are happy.

Still happy.

Bug is slightly uncomfortable.

Wait. What's that little black thing in my hair...

"IS THAT WHAT I THINK IT IS?"

Bug is smashed on Easter dress. Anna is not happy.

Still not happy.

Yucky.

Anna contemplates her brush with death.

Anna checks hair for more bugs.

Easter

Happy Easter!

Does this mean I can throw away the old crocs?

Annalisa was tuckered out from all the Easter excitement, and she was also recovering from strep throat. (Three strep throat kids in the family- six counting cousins, including Preston, Mariah, Alex Andersen all the way in Utah)
