Brian Kesner has some pretty good ideas, for example, Rocket Night at the Park. This was another brilliant Brian idea- a three-mile New Year hike. It was wonderful and the kids enjoyed it so much. For me it sure beats hanging around at the house doing nothing but screens. (which is what they were doing...)
Unfortunately Tara's family had to leave a day early to stay ahead of a winter storm so they missed the hike. We're glad they made it home safely though. January 2 was a snow day for the Rockwood School District. (today- I can't believe the difference a day makes. It's freezing here!) Tara would have been driving in that storm most of the way to North Carolina.

It's crazy to be reminded that we had such a warm day not too long ago! I'm glad the kids enjoyed the hike.
